　　時(shí)間繼電器的主要功能是作為簡(jiǎn)單程序控制中的一種執(zhí)行器件，當(dāng)它接受了啟動(dòng)信號(hào)后開始計(jì)時(shí)，計(jì)時(shí)結(jié)束后它的工作觸頭進(jìn)行開或合的動(dòng)作，從而推動(dòng)后續(xù)的電路工作。一般來說，時(shí)間繼電器的延時(shí)性能在設(shè)計(jì)的范圍內(nèi)是可以調(diào)節(jié)的，從而方便調(diào)整它的延時(shí)時(shí)間長(zhǎng)短。單憑一只時(shí)間繼電器恐怕不能做到開始延時(shí)閉合，閉合一段時(shí)間后，再斷開，先實(shí)現(xiàn)延時(shí)閉合后延時(shí)斷開，但總體上說，通過配置數(shù)量的時(shí)間繼電器和中間繼電器都是可以做到的。
